Real Estate – Many
Options, Bargain Prices and Low Taxes
Live in an historic mansion with incredible
history at a fraction of prices in many places,
and with no commute – you’re
home in five minutes!
Real Estate options vary in Selma and Dallas
County from historic homes Downtown, suburban-type neighborhoods,
estate homes and even ranches in the countryside and your options
also increase due to the incredibly low prices here. For example,
antebellum mansions, some in "move in condition" which
would be multi-million dollar homes in almost any other part of
the country, can be purchased for a fraction of that amount in
Selma. It's truly incredible. Instead of living in a suburban house
that was built in a month and looks exactly like the one next to
you, you can custom build, or live in a home built when "craftsmanship" meant
something!
We believe that the often hard-to-define "quality
of life" factors
most of us consider important revolve around: family life, access
to modern conveniences, and affordability. And if you have, or
are planning to start a family, then safety, education and kid-friendly
activities and healthy outdoors would also be important to any
parent. In combination, is there a better place than Selma?

historical ones, can be acquired very inexpensively. The realtor

Historic Homes in Downtown Selma
Outside City Limits: Selma offers established neighborhoods and
subdivisions outside of the Downtown area, such as Houston Gardens,
Houston Park, and Landsdowne among others, which offer traditional
homes with larger yards – these are still within city limits.
Valley Grande is noted for being “out in the country” with
less restriction on building and fewer subdivisions and more wide
open spaces, although Valleyview is a small golf course neighborhood. Homes

Second homes, like cabins in the Alabama mountain foothills, beach
houses, or in the country, are part of the lifestyle of many of
our neighbors, like Dr. Lee Youngblood – a local veterinarian
