Vaughan Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission–accredited, 175 bed acute care flagship within Lifepoint Hospitals, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPNT), a company of approximately 50 community hospitals.

New Surgery Center completed in 2007 is approximately 17,000 square feet with state–of–the–art technology. In 2008 we expanded our ER as we continue to grow to meet the needs of our growing community!

What’s New at Vaughan in 2006–2008:

• New Surgery Center

• Expansion of ER

• Sleep Center recently re–accredited and remodeled with two new bedrooms (4 total) with state of the art equipment and new furnishings

• 6 OR Suites

• fast track ER

• OB floor remodeled and has LDRs

• Diagnostic Imaging (new ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, bone densitometry equipment) 

• All floors of the hospital have been re–painted

• Remodeled nurse’s stations on Med/Surg floors, with new dictation desks for physicians, and a case management office

• Recently converted to Meditech IT system: nurses now working with wireless technology on portable carts.
